Edgemere is a considerably underserved community in Queens, New York, consisting of a mix of marginalized populations with inadequate economic access. There are virtually zero avenues within the community for residents wishing to better their economic circumstances, only creating further obstacles for a population that already faces disproportionate challenges.

This project proposes an innovative and resilient public structure that houses a modular marketplace in order to better equip the neighborhood with resources for economic mobility. Creating an incubator to grow local small businesses with an extroverted presence and porous access, the project aims to meld with the community and provide much-needed economic support for the residents in and around Edgemere.
