As a California K-12 art educator, I believe that incorporating art education into the public school system is an acceptance of humanity’s potential for growth and self-realization. As an artist myself, I know that art education encourages creativity; measures an individual’s success based on their own definition of progress; promotes the idea of seeking multiple solutions to one problem; encourages personal expression, and enhances one’s communication skills.
