Clara Yum was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea.
She is working towards receiving her BFA in fashion design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
She gets inspiration from art works such as painting and sculptures and curious to know history behind each piece. She tries to perceive objects in her own creative way to achieve clean and minimal silhouette by the designer’s belief of less is more.
She likes to play with shapes by using various weights of fabrics. She likes to drape on a dress form to find interesting silhouettes. She enjoys capturing the transformation of body shape.
She uses Photoshop and Illustrator as creative tools to bring her creativity to life.
