Jaimie Froemming

Jaimie Froemming is a Costume Design MFA student who has been working in the Entertainment Costume Industry for twenty years. She has worked in almost every corner of the industry, including stage, film, tv, commercial, opera, theme park, and cruise ships. Before working with costumes, she spent the better part of a decade working in fashion manufacturing as the Senior Patternmaker for Slates Brand at Levi Straus & Co.

While the costume industry is frequently very fast-paced and exciting, it also involves too many consecutive long days to be healthy. With the complete shutdown of Broadway in March 2020 for an unforeseen amount of time, it seemed the best use of copious free time should be searching for and attending an online Master's program. The Academy of Art University MFA in Costume Design program was found!

With this degree, new design opportunities will likely be available. Or, when the entertainment industry hours become too much, Jaimie can impart her knowledge and experience to the next generation, teaching the subject she loves most, Costumes.
