Rachel Mickiewicz

This collection takes inspiration from my childhood spent in the garden and getting dirty, being a tomboy and feeling carefree about what I was wearing and how I looked and also reflects my most recent time spent in the fashion industry working in bridal. Utilitarian and workwear fabrics such as canvas and leather are used throughout the garments with emphasis on details such as pockets and tool belts. Traditional bridal fabrics and techniques such as tulle and hand draped chiffon bring a balance and movement to the collection. The combination of these fabrics and manipulations bring an interesting perspective to how opposites can be harmonious.
