Preservation is one of my passions! In my work, I am honored and excited to display vintage/retro-era objects, places, themes, and sometimes people, that are identifiable to a particular era. My work generally depicts time-periods between the 1950s and the 1980s, as those are the times I am most drawn to. I collect vintage items and often use them as props for my work. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to see and appreciate the beauty, uniqueness, and historical significance of vintage objects and themes. All of the photos and still-life setups used as references for my paintings are my own.
I have known that I wanted to be an artist since before I learned how to write, and now I am pursuing a career as an artist. I work in charcoal, graphite, acrylics, oils, and mixed media. I depict a wide variety of subjects (portraits, still-lifes, cars, and exteriors and interiors of buildings), often relating to vintage themes. My style is realism with the occasional pop-art influence.
