Sydney Joanna Sheng is a 23-year old student currently attending the Academy of Art University, majoring in Motion Pictures and Television with an emphasis in Directing. She always had a passion for videography but discovered that her passion was really the storytelling behind the medium of film.

She is deeply passionate about both narrative and documentary films and view them as a way to inform audiences about important issues, help people to relate to others, understand different perspectives, develop a greater sense of compassion and empathy, provide examples of perseverance, courage, and resilience, and inspire people to make positive changes in their own lives and in society.
