Grishma Kalote-McHugh

IN DARKNESS ARE STARS is about a young African American man weighing the choice of accepting custody of his daughter or letting her enter the system, who unexpectedly receives unsolicited advice from his absent father and learns the importance of breaking generational trauma.

Grishma Kalote-McHugh is a screenwriter and producer who graduated from The Academy of Art University with her bachelor's degree in May of 2022. Grishma, a native of Mumbai, India moved to San Francisco in 2018 to pursue her career in film. Currently, Grishma works as a Writer/Director for a gaming studio where she crafts stories for gameplay and lore purposes.
